Hi all,
Stopping by with a quick post to update you on the progress of the next large batch of wolf riders I've been working on.
I've made progress, but working on a grouping this large means that the pace is glacial. I often only work on one highlight color a day...when you are applying it to 29 models it takes awhile!
All the models have had their base colors blocked in and I have started to highlight the flesh tones. I will probably add two more highlights to the flesh before calling it done.
Lets have a look....first up are the 24 Citadel wolf riders. This is such and interesting and varied batch of figures! Kev's sculpting mind obviously wandered all over the place when working on these. The scale and proportions are all over the place...but it all fits together so well to create a motley and nefarious group.
You may notice a few missing figures from my last post. I have decided to remove these five figures from the wolf boy units (for now at least). In hopes of maximizing diversity, two of them were removed because they are doubles. The other three are "converted" infantry models that were my least favorite for use as wolf boys.
the Fallen Five, these will be used in the future either as wolf boys or in an infantry unit. |
In addition to the 24 Citadel Wolf Boyz I am also working on five more Marauder Wolf boyz from the MM32/34 range to round out those units.
So there you have it...that is the state of things at the moment. I'll keep plugging away at these as I find the time.
Cheers for now!
