That is because the points on these brushes are always very sharp. I do use a drop or two of dish-washing liquid in my water jar. This helps to keep my brushes really clean. I also use a Tamiya Kolinski Sable brush which I purchased from Japan via eBay, it was a really thick handled brush, which was nice to use, except the brush head (hairs) were fairly short, and I have realised I like long haired brushes.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12522223665090272625noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-88826438976989587702012-08-14T02:11:35.784-04:002012-08-14T02:11:35.784-04:00Hm, sorry to say, for me at least, that the rosema...Hm, sorry to say, for me at least, that the rosemary brushes I bought a few years ago really didnt hold up in comparison to the W$N.. they started hooking quite early on.

I've tried rapheal and da Vinici too, even posted about them :http://excommunicatetratoris.blogspot.co.uk/2011/08/brushes-whats-diff.html

I still havent found anything as reliable and long lasting as a W&N series seven size 1 :)Karitashttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06811166981334472345noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-63626659693250641252012-08-07T11:20:38.636-04:002012-08-07T11:20:38.636-04:00I used GW's brushes for a long time... still d...I used GW's brushes for a long time... still do, from time to time. Also tried W&N (wasn't too happy with it compared to price) and I'm currently destroying a set of Rosemary & Co. They're ok, but I think I'm not careful enough with my brushes for the "good ones" to stay good. Both the W&N and RM&Co are a little bent, tend to split and so on. My favourites so far are still the GW standard brushes, if nothing else for longeivity. I've got a Prince August brush too which I've been pretty happy with.phreedhhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13400910734490932729noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-36135292316523728682012-08-02T14:07:16.748-04:002012-08-02T14:07:16.748-04:00@Thantsants: I use the exact same ones as you. Bee...@Thantsants: I use the exact same ones as you. Been completely sold on W&N for the last couple of years now. Though I hope Rosemary & Co will measure up, it'd be nice to save some money :-) Let us know, Blue!Eversorhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07279771870656915426noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-73390528044486833072012-08-02T13:48:13.168-04:002012-08-02T13:48:13.168-04:00Same as you really - nasty cheap ones for ages unt...Same as you really - nasty cheap ones for ages until I took the plunge with Windsor and Newton.

Funnily mine managed two LPL's too before giving up the game and I've just got my replacement 1 and 0 size brushes from Amazon.

I'd be interested to see how the Rosemary and Co. brushes compare - especially because of their relative price.Thantsantshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06902730729032525538noreply@blogger.com
