The "original" hero of this unit has been demoted to unit Champion and he sports the golden armor to recognize his considerable skill.</p><p>Here is the complete unit...</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; These units will join my puff and slash dwarf army to represent the Human Corps from the City/state of Salzburg. I'm Participating in the Call of the Crown 2 painting challenge as motivation to get a good amount of these figures painted in the next few months. </p><p>First off the desk are the Armored Halberdmen (Human Linebreakers in Oathmark). This unit is composed of all metal miniatures dating from the early 1990's released during the slow transition from 3rd edition WFB to 4th edition. While I really appreciate the older more ragamuffin nature of the earlier Empire range (and will be using them for militia units in the future) its these figures that I fell in love with when they were released that I think of when discussing empire troops. Its taken me quite a awhile and considerable amount of coin to collect the figures for this project but its long term goal that is fun to check off. </p><p>From the excellent Empire range of Halberdmen released at the time I have chosen to form this unit from only those models that are wearing heavier armor...all the others will be part of another lightly armored unit. this has meant the use of several duplicate models...so I've attempted to add as much diversity to this unit as possible by modifying a few of the figures and incorporating "non-traditional" troopers like the bloke with the hook halberd from the War Wagon model. I've also chosen to use one of the fantastic Marauder Reiksguard figures as this units leader because he is outfitted with a Halberd and doesn't really fit with my other Reiksguard figures.</p><p>Here is the completed 20-man strong unit Photographed in front of the wonderful backdrop from Trish! 😍</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; I've been messing around with the odd assortment of bits....a wizard figure from the late 1980's and a much more recent (c1998) Vampire Counts mount. I've been second guessing myself on how these things would work together...but one evening last week I decided to just take the plunge and dive into it and see how things turned out.</p><p>I'm Glad I did! ...and am quite pleased with the results</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; There is a LOT of fabric to shade properly on the horses themselves, and the sculpting on the faces of some of the troopers is a little soft and proved difficult for me to complete to my satisfaction. In reality the sculpts are probably fine but I'm long out of practice on painting the fairly gracial faces of humans in comparison to the exaggerated features found on goblin, orc and dwarf figures.</p><p>...either way...they are done now and its time to move on.</p><p>Here is the whole unit and below are individual shots of the unit members.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgiCPL8k0IFz-VMb6y72Nvm38MpLtXSCmmLBCivSQByLjNdPncWoxlJkeMsx1YpBwn0viAT2n76Ey_qMqeuTktVOzxO6qPV9UoS50Qe2bAPuXphfP7vbfZ4D-12UICPuR0JbHcI6K9fLN1jGI_ZtB4cEcJGdnxpKCJAIw1-4espyURb7JXNhMHmfqou=s1436" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1268" data-original-width="1436" height="566" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgiCPL8k0IFz-VMb6y72Nvm38MpLtXSCmmLBCivSQByLjNdPncWoxlJkeMsx1YpBwn0viAT2n76Ey_qMqeuTktVOzxO6qPV9UoS50Qe2bAPuXphfP7vbfZ4D-12UICPuR0JbHcI6K9fLN1jGI_ZtB4cEcJGdnxpKCJAIw1-4espyURb7JXNhMHmfqou=w640-h566" width="640"></a></div><p> <span></span></p><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2022/01/the-knights-errant-join-armee-of-marquis.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-74237510786500532542022-01-09T21:34:00.001-05:002022-01-09T21:40:05.184-05:00Unit Building: Foot Knights for the Armee of the Marquis<p> Hello all!</p><p>I had a substantial break in my painting flow with the advent of the holidays this year...which involved me traveling back to the midwest for a week without painting supplies!</p><p>Our return to Vermont has coincided with some of the coldest days of the year so far and therefore I have the wood stove burning and the ceiling fans on...this leads to very poor painting conditions due to the dry air from the wood heat and breeze from the fans I can hardly keep my wet palette living up to its name for long! </p><p>So...long story short...I'm still plugging away on the unit of Knights Errant. I think they are looking very good and I'm get close to done. But I've been using these very dry days to focus on my getting my next units of figures ready for the painting desk once the knights trot off into the distance seeking adventure.</p><p>I've decided to add some more infantry to the Armee with the addition of two units of Foot Knights. One unit with heavy armor, and shields, armed with hand weapons. And one unit in heavy Armor, armed with great weapons. I've been collecting the Foot Knights that Citadel released in the short lived 3rd edition Bretonnian release for a number of years and have acquired quite a few. I've decided to add to this and fill out the units with some of the excellent Claymore Castings figures. These modern castings fit very well with the 3rd edition Perry Bros. sculpted foot knights and add a bit of "movement" to the unit as some of them are dynamically posed in comparison to Citadel knights.</p><p>Here are the Great Weapon Knights, I will use them as Linebreakers in Oathmark and as Foot Knights in Oldhammer Games.<br></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjH1SzRt1V6Ew9xl33UtwHJPNxMUG0Fcqb8XA_xiOcZUOPS-Sx1sMh9c45J0aOOTl5wdZ1oqy71wBnPLZx8D3EeFlmaI1DAKGe_MMg29mCCxksNzQanUSuQA5qnU2r5kHjJurF_kIxtreF38ZaV9SUlhA-APzky85ZBqSDnjQAfhlO0efOsmtARHCSb=s3155" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2470" data-original-width="3155" height="502" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEjH1SzRt1V6Ew9xl33UtwHJPNxMUG0Fcqb8XA_xiOcZUOPS-Sx1sMh9c45J0aOOTl5wdZ1oqy71wBnPLZx8D3EeFlmaI1DAKGe_MMg29mCCxksNzQanUSuQA5qnU2r5kHjJurF_kIxtreF38ZaV9SUlhA-APzky85ZBqSDnjQAfhlO0efOsmtARHCSb=w640-h502" width="640"></a></div><p></p><span></span><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2022/01/unit-building-foot-knights-for-armee-of.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-19986718021854537742021-12-18T14:29:00.001-05:002022-02-07T13:47:29.320-05:00I Turn My Attention Back to the Army of the Marquis<div class="separator"><p> Hi all!</p></div><p>All those months of painting goblins and orcs....wolves and boar ...has compelled me to work on something completely different for awhile. And to work on something with a completely different color palate.</p><p>And so, I find myself returning to the Armee of the Maquis d'Saud-or...the small bretonnian army that I painted up 5-6 years ago. This army is composed entirely of 5th edition Bretonnian figures sculpted by the Perry twins in the mid-1990's. While these are decidedly "Middlehammer" figures you cannot deny that they are superb sculpts and paint up a treat. Currently the army is infantry heavy with a unit of halberdmen, a unit of spearmen, two archer units (one of which can be used as scouts...the squires w/bows) a small unit of 7 mounted squires, and a unit of 10 knights. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgxTHGn1Qo0LtOyGqbzl8tx8T2AZi10WkYGYsAlpIq-gnM7URIDYF7s8s-oa1dzL1hzbsVjPGUj1aN0_6gaW1nDfjQZlJbyJ6ORK1FI2JWEQk9UmuhU2-YNzPXXLc5VL6g6N6ff8NY1gtveJeng5hwBI16iAgVceRk17fWn9pPBy0Rhty3lzEok2Uut=s1675" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="946" data-original-width="1675" height="362" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEgxTHGn1Qo0LtOyGqbzl8tx8T2AZi10WkYGYsAlpIq-gnM7URIDYF7s8s-oa1dzL1hzbsVjPGUj1aN0_6gaW1nDfjQZlJbyJ6ORK1FI2JWEQk9UmuhU2-YNzPXXLc5VL6g6N6ff8NY1gtveJeng5hwBI16iAgVceRk17fWn9pPBy0Rhty3lzEok2Uut=w640-h362" width="640" /></a></div> <p></p><p>This small force has been seeing a lot of action in my recent Oathmark games and I really enjoy the way they look on the table...</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEimn1TpNth0rcVuFG98mPdUyAxnuXFbzA5Vkz_AxoD_2L2nwKSrsEaOfX4hsy61M3sdGu74xM30TPON03wS3FeaOqGGvmEZ6tVw082qwvQcTc9L0YUOJFKeR4roJ24LX1MISkbZGK0MZLnj9ws729s9fkohlXZnU414IHGDWFLv_mu8wGVVpYfA-Ve3=s2000" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1367" data-original-width="2000" height="438" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEimn1TpNth0rcVuFG98mPdUyAxnuXFbzA5Vkz_AxoD_2L2nwKSrsEaOfX4hsy61M3sdGu74xM30TPON03wS3FeaOqGGvmEZ6tVw082qwvQcTc9L0YUOJFKeR4roJ24LX1MISkbZGK0MZLnj9ws729s9fkohlXZnU414IHGDWFLv_mu8wGVVpYfA-Ve3=w640-h438" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p> </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhZMh9uI2XNNIbLU6IeJ-vu0BeGP9YPS-QutN9aNWbtRNLyF_qA51ftKOWEtchBkCLb54owEBi6bHm81p3iwuzFKLsp-vzWKPADQwCIDv4Svp3Db6-oxVldQZkCqcK5kL_tgXDYrEG05OuwAcyo9ljH2YHcvy0gTjmgSq7bPXXBMWauEIDcvMqjoG2f=s2000" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1746" data-original-width="2000" height="558" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhZMh9uI2XNNIbLU6IeJ-vu0BeGP9YPS-QutN9aNWbtRNLyF_qA51ftKOWEtchBkCLb54owEBi6bHm81p3iwuzFKLsp-vzWKPADQwCIDv4Svp3Db6-oxVldQZkCqcK5kL_tgXDYrEG05OuwAcyo9ljH2YHcvy0gTjmgSq7bPXXBMWauEIDcvMqjoG2f=w640-h558" width="640" /></a></div><br /><br /><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiiFuCjUUgj52pYy9tNz7titnj-hYuR-t64NtIZicUJiEXI3YOiEHCkc402V-ZtdRZQAsEUHptPXFxCUxPR7FGhWapedZ91Acs5QPSprvu5zwaAXNfgStZsTMZL5PTSaD14XkQNd-R74HgRcwAxABPt_QQkeS5k2BDd2My2AFLxEhhFeRaT4aW8LEuA=s2000" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1796" data-original-width="2000" height="574" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEiiFuCjUUgj52pYy9tNz7titnj-hYuR-t64NtIZicUJiEXI3YOiEHCkc402V-ZtdRZQAsEUHptPXFxCUxPR7FGhWapedZ91Acs5QPSprvu5zwaAXNfgStZsTMZL5PTSaD14XkQNd-R74HgRcwAxABPt_QQkeS5k2BDd2My2AFLxEhhFeRaT4aW8LEuA=w640-h574" width="640" /></a></div><p>So I've decided to add some to the force by painting another unit of shock cavalry...and for this I will stick to the 5thed figures and add a unit of 10 Knights Errant to the Marquis' forces.</p><p> <img alt="Claymore Castings – Bretonnia at arms « chaosbunker.de" class="n3VNCb" data-noaft="1" src="https://www.chaosbunker.de/wp-content/uploads/2020/04/WH_BretonKnightsErrant.jpg" style="height: 348.53px; margin: 0px; width: 523px;" /></p><p>I always loved the simpler paint jobs that were given to these figures by the studio painters and I've had these figures in my collection for a number of years now ...so, I am happy to finally have the motivation needed to get them on the table! You will see that I used several of these head variant in my existing knight unit...but as the Knights Errant are meant to represent less experienced unit of knights I have opted to use the basic plastic heads for all the horses except for that of the hero which will have the metal head variant befitting his rank. </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhnO-wYYOJ6G3VWi_ocyvtUiBOk8QqdEXpyZJiNXZY38VVeShl8SZkCY7WiGLJ6Jw5V0C91L1Xr1mDFF0tpP8kyfDVqholLLnSAGjWrnZ4J9E3t8X4cSqFgBiBkP36LD6cKagi-2JmuCULqbknri-z5K6kQa9H1-MVH49v3exhem4AwBnynoQ7fQsWx=s2048" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/a/AVvXsEhnO-wYYOJ6G3VWi_ocyvtUiBOk8QqdEXpyZJiNXZY38VVeShl8SZkCY7WiGLJ6Jw5V0C91L1Xr1mDFF0tpP8kyfDVqholLLnSAGjWrnZ4J9E3t8X4cSqFgBiBkP36LD6cKagi-2JmuCULqbknri-z5K6kQa9H1-MVH49v3exhem4AwBnynoQ7fQsWx=w640-h640" width="640" /></a></div><br /> As with the first unit of knights I've opted for basic Heraldry with quartered surcoats for the knights and caparisons for the horses. I used a slightly modified version of my Goblin skin paint recipe to achieve their pale green skin.</p><p>Here is the unit of four...and below are individual shots of each member. Darnog the Dank....<p>On this very night 9 years ago I posted about my feeble efforts in painting a figure for the first ever Golden Gobo Painting contest that was run from the Oldhammer Forum back in the day. Back when Oldhammer still meant something specific and not the confused mess it has become these days...</p><p></p><p>But I digress...it was in the early heady days of the Oldhammer Community that a group of us conceived of this painting contest and made it a reality. For this Painting contest I chose to paint one of my favorite Marauder Goblin figures...and recently I decided to update his flesh tone with my current recipe for Goblin Flesh. </p><p>So, I'm going to take the opportunity to reuse my Blog post from October 12, 2012...which includes some background for this Goblin Wizard, a 3rd edition Statline for the figure, and even a narrative bit that I wrote for the contest which required no only a painted figure but also the associated Fluff.</p><p>Here are are pictures of the new paint job...below them you will see the 2012 pics, post, and story.</p><p>Cheers,</p><p>Blue</p><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_xOiR6b9lpbIClFWU8MrTYTM40p627ZHrqy8v8h77KjSmP7wqTzc08ib-1D5t6G-4_sxxOKN_FC9IhssUZJZ8YIGfy1uFx0hKeJi3YoY9VRJgQxHJugetHmKBjICDDSk5Fk8QsAdra50/s600/Blog+Darnog+Left.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="577" data-original-width="600" height="385" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEj_xOiR6b9lpbIClFWU8MrTYTM40p627ZHrqy8v8h77KjSmP7wqTzc08ib-1D5t6G-4_sxxOKN_FC9IhssUZJZ8YIGfy1uFx0hKeJi3YoY9VRJgQxHJugetHmKBjICDDSk5Fk8QsAdra50/w400-h385/Blog+Darnog+Left.jpg" width="400"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJxZZlP6SlYZEuFjcBMfizZFYE_Ji57M72grVcOVCOnHvBj_Ek3MZDkxgnb6wlNdC6wWhXDL4ulbOq-IA_dKmMjYu0bSLZwmlzMyDUYXU4YYymEhHARl1N2PLPmn_Ld3H-kkII7svxPJE/s624/Blog+Darnog+Right.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="624" data-original-width="600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhJxZZlP6SlYZEuFjcBMfizZFYE_Ji57M72grVcOVCOnHvBj_Ek3MZDkxgnb6wlNdC6wWhXDL4ulbOq-IA_dKmMjYu0bSLZwmlzMyDUYXU4YYymEhHARl1N2PLPmn_Ld3H-kkII7svxPJE/w385-h400/Blog+Darnog+Right.jpg" width="385"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmcXR6tfT6fc2pwCiywxipL6JUS1Ej3rF4zcn1mQA1JLPDHKbqUaLD84mD2y02LXzBlLV8pv9VY0zdmuSldfNaQUB9PGqEH_D85jt3yNhTirqBsSLomSS1lRw2STFHB_LAfl9TFm2EPZQ/s616/Blog+Darnog+back.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="616" data-original-width="600" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgmcXR6tfT6fc2pwCiywxipL6JUS1Ej3rF4zcn1mQA1JLPDHKbqUaLD84mD2y02LXzBlLV8pv9VY0zdmuSldfNaQUB9PGqEH_D85jt3yNhTirqBsSLomSS1lRw2STFHB_LAfl9TFm2EPZQ/w390-h400/Blog+Darnog+back.jpg" width="390"></a></div><p></p><span></span><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2021/10/9th-anniversary-repost-darnog-dank.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com6tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-31307199854476253452021-09-06T14:03:00.002-04:002021-09-06T14:03:46.394-04:00With the Pounding of Hooves and Paws...The Horde from the East Decends on the Old World...<p>Well it has taken the better part of two years....but my all mounted Orc and Goblin force is finally ready for some Army shots!!! Quite a few of the models are minor conversions either to standard bearers or infantry models converted into mounted troopers.</p><p>Here they are in all their glory!!</p><p>Full Army Shots...</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQWMpKF_w0FIiJSi4MmH-gnnTeczLph28zMYGUkZECAtXbbf1eFUHczdyRGSbsL1yxREwE4iMqd82Jy72SsrMTz3vifTGiiyL-YzM655TukJcs1E31kmw9K3BBZcityDi61KfnmfNA4H4/s2222/Whole+Army+01.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="833" data-original-width="2222" height="240" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhQWMpKF_w0FIiJSi4MmH-gnnTeczLph28zMYGUkZECAtXbbf1eFUHczdyRGSbsL1yxREwE4iMqd82Jy72SsrMTz3vifTGiiyL-YzM655TukJcs1E31kmw9K3BBZcityDi61KfnmfNA4H4/w640-h240/Whole+Army+01.jpg" width="640"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTDrBt7otYvbYjCmwpjVJ-R0jzSJ5R8Q0QVvSJvDSpTcCY2O494WBO4sp0S8wq5_bBjqNkdDhyphenhyphendlVi7wM7mbN4_EyX4tKzQZt5GgsGQPbRjYze7QservSq2EA6JILyoFtP6FVUxav4oA8/s2222/Whole+Army+02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="806" data-original-width="2222" height="232" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgTDrBt7otYvbYjCmwpjVJ-R0jzSJ5R8Q0QVvSJvDSpTcCY2O494WBO4sp0S8wq5_bBjqNkdDhyphenhyphendlVi7wM7mbN4_EyX4tKzQZt5GgsGQPbRjYze7QservSq2EA6JILyoFtP6FVUxav4oA8/w640-h232/Whole+Army+02.jpg" width="640"></a></div><br><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8wNhz3fSIpm1a7LoYAKJH14e5Og2XY-snF7ZbsSfMzdHlf9wZ3QtJczeUwdCy249cCqXNeVCouDKKDBuZpGGDadO6ziWlOi1_Sx6gpG7PEKgBLX1V6qDyrr_ULeN5seeS0lC7OQlqa2Q/s2048/Whole+Army+03.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1048" data-original-width="2048" height="328" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEg8wNhz3fSIpm1a7LoYAKJH14e5Og2XY-snF7ZbsSfMzdHlf9wZ3QtJczeUwdCy249cCqXNeVCouDKKDBuZpGGDadO6ziWlOi1_Sx6gpG7PEKgBLX1V6qDyrr_ULeN5seeS0lC7OQlqa2Q/w640-h328/Whole+Army+03.jpg" width="640"></a></div><p></p><p><span></span></p><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2021/09/with-pounding-of-hooves-and-pawsthe.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com15tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-78675612532586406482021-07-12T22:29:00.001-04:002021-07-12T22:42:14.106-04:00Boar Boyz ...the Command Group<p> Hi all,</p><p>Today I can finally present the final unit (for now) of my Marauder Boar Boy army....the Command group with Big Boss (General).</p><p>For my final entry in the Old World Army Challenge I reserved my command group. This is a smaller unit of only five Boar Boys...but it includes the General and Army Standard as well as a small number of elite Gruntas on Barded Boars to fill out the unit and act as bodyguards to the General and the Standard.</p><p>Here is the Whole group </p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRl1G5I88cPhVmvjiSwsNy5qaRW1lX43Q_CZOFLvs1P34x9CdinGoikn8pK-VnXI3ulKOJo_0rJ6Tnvz_USBHx29swtqu_m2J9OcQFezHocg06vHW_Lo7BzJhupOnhIr4tV5vmcTZ6NXM/s2048/Group+Front+01jpg.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1491" data-original-width="2048" height="466" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhRl1G5I88cPhVmvjiSwsNy5qaRW1lX43Q_CZOFLvs1P34x9CdinGoikn8pK-VnXI3ulKOJo_0rJ6Tnvz_USBHx29swtqu_m2J9OcQFezHocg06vHW_Lo7BzJhupOnhIr4tV5vmcTZ6NXM/w640-h466/Group+Front+01jpg.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh4gqVjTJyYsNAIUCP1VVYApO_QY3RyG1beCDbhupp2OL_LRzpO5WgmgwhlUiz1ggBRi1hARTsh9luB8d7wnT1z4lyhTTw1X8qr5EVOrCaHRc25slGF8FrznRmN7ArAVg5XpaxnAsF6yQ/s1200/Group+Oblique+Left+2.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="815" data-original-width="1200" height="434" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgh4gqVjTJyYsNAIUCP1VVYApO_QY3RyG1beCDbhupp2OL_LRzpO5WgmgwhlUiz1ggBRi1hARTsh9luB8d7wnT1z4lyhTTw1X8qr5EVOrCaHRc25slGF8FrznRmN7ArAVg5XpaxnAsF6yQ/w640-h434/Group+Oblique+Left+2.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> <p></p><p>As with some of the other units in this army a number of these riders

originally came with the Marauder Boar Boy General (MM22/6). </p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh28GB4ysEzS1sZcr2dSJl1KhyphenhyphenPEd5uWCZJ4J46KtTNAXARfAmuWzFlVK8hM-EMeaTqKFZUN5R3id2mgAR9E27KiL_J-Afr27iRE9mYN3mx-7lFhv5lllUTwzRMyi-BhzljujnwXPHS87k/s2048/General+01.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="2048" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEh28GB4ysEzS1sZcr2dSJl1KhyphenhyphenPEd5uWCZJ4J46KtTNAXARfAmuWzFlVK8hM-EMeaTqKFZUN5R3id2mgAR9E27KiL_J-Afr27iRE9mYN3mx-7lFhv5lllUTwzRMyi-BhzljujnwXPHS87k/w400-h400/General+01.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzk8sveGoeAKg_TbmLAwnzOjaKyaQjJd91OmQNsSW8YKXZkG9ENI_Ihg_9X7XrqwJkBYXTqeOMZ9frAWd2hVYhvjWqbQHirRQwmSUQ1UboGfS_iHNPSDNFmoHwMJ4HIiWRH-amtXRJVuQ/s800/General+02.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="800" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhzk8sveGoeAKg_TbmLAwnzOjaKyaQjJd91OmQNsSW8YKXZkG9ENI_Ihg_9X7XrqwJkBYXTqeOMZ9frAWd2hVYhvjWqbQHirRQwmSUQ1UboGfS_iHNPSDNFmoHwMJ4HIiWRH-amtXRJVuQ/w400-h400/General+02.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><br /><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZia5G7-9XCVzzdxuoPNsioGoLjjyXszBqyQ5FjiWBu537XYoa0-9r-0XT5QmWlCLI8Y1RljMmI315To1c3e58kzpH3vKDFDnqTKxUXGgg3B38jukNoczIuGi4dU5WD6rt9xQcKQFzlYE/s800/General+023jpg.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="800" data-original-width="800" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjZia5G7-9XCVzzdxuoPNsioGoLjjyXszBqyQ5FjiWBu537XYoa0-9r-0XT5QmWlCLI8Y1RljMmI315To1c3e58kzpH3vKDFDnqTKxUXGgg3B38jukNoczIuGi4dU5WD6rt9xQcKQFzlYE/w400-h400/General+023jpg.jpg" width="400" /></a></div><p></p><p></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><span style="font-family: georgia; margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="416" data-original-width="288" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgKIVOXT0JB2zYWxTSGqeSYc-4dkzjAoWVOXI1qqwF3CNKedqB7_qgXOiRQhmcNWZqxLREZQIT6tl3i2XBYvIVHOahz8DBiUNQumN9bZ3iS1QRbtRdq3cY5aKgDKmioibEHSPjh9-NGSoY/w278-h400/wd128mb04warwyvern.jpg" width="278" /></span></div><p></p><p>The former

The horde grows stronger!!<p> While my progress in the OWAC has been somewhat...um...lethargic the last few months ...progress is being made! At the end of April I posted up 8 new painted Boar Boys...all of which came from the close combat units of my Boar Boy force...namely the unit armed with hand weapons and shields and the unit armed with spears and shields....which I will run as the elite Gruntas.</p><p>With the completion of these 8 boyz I have also completed the two units mentioned above.</p><p>So...first up here are the hand weapon and shield Boyz...Led by Harrin Stephens<br></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitKNeuBmD6qiHerKkcnuW3vcSNKN6dMLBsZzV5VtxuywLVDE1uIDq_WHXq6gpHXOR9EByDZnh80WA_aKKhs8pfiuYn82PU1SteLrjv4tx1mPrOvb5hlkfN1YcRwO6PE7QKXUuxjuvtg_0/s2048/IMG_E0045.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1347" data-original-width="2048" height="420" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEitKNeuBmD6qiHerKkcnuW3vcSNKN6dMLBsZzV5VtxuywLVDE1uIDq_WHXq6gpHXOR9EByDZnh80WA_aKKhs8pfiuYn82PU1SteLrjv4tx1mPrOvb5hlkfN1YcRwO6PE7QKXUuxjuvtg_0/w640-h420/IMG_E0045.JPG" width="640"><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"></div></a></div><p></p><p><span></span></p><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2021/05/moar-boar-boyz-horde-grows-stronger.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-63532463853456885472021-04-27T22:09:00.000-04:002021-04-27T22:09:03.688-04:00Marauder Orc regiment (MB2 and MM25)<p> Hi all,</p><p>In addition to the Marauder Boar Riders that I have been working on for the OWAC, I had the opportunity to complete another unit that I've been longing to add to my army for many years. I finally repainted and added to the Marauder Orc Warrior regiment that I've owned from my youth.</p><p>The MB2 Orc Regiment was one of my favorite units back in the day, and thanks to some selected internet purchasing I was able to flesh out the 12 warrior unit in a full regiment of 21 by adding some of the MM25 Orcs that were sculpted by Trish Carden (Morrison) for Marauder Miniatures that used the same scale mail armor and styling</p><p>This process required repainting the flesh portions of five figures that I had painted previously while painting all the other up from scratch. here are the results!</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; In the past iterations of this Challenge I have painted my wood elf army and last time a good portion of my Puff and Slash dwarf army.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: georgia;">This year I've decided to add to the Wolf Rider Horde with a group of Orc Boar Riders! This is an area of the hobby I've dabbled with but in a very minimal fashion.<br /></p><p>But, first...let me back up little. The reason I became interested in converting some figures is founded in my current interest in the Oathmark rule set. The world in which Oathmark is set is meant to represent a Dark Age level of technology and therefore the rules do not support Crossbows or any gunpowder weapons. Bows are the only missile weapon option. </p><p>I have lots of painted Crossbow dwarfs for my current army, but I have zero Bow armed dwarfs. Now, so far I've just used those crossbow dwarfs as Bow armed troops and carried on with the game...and will probably continue to do so...but the visual here has continued to bother me (yes I know..obsessive much?). I feel I really need to be able to deploy some actual Bow armed dwarfs.</p><p></p><p>Frustratingly there are very few Citadel or Marauder dwarfs that are armed with bows...and while I've managed to find enough for a small unit I really needed a larger variety to be able to create multiple units. </p><p>...so my mind turned toward converting some. When I began to consider this option I started looking around for appropriately sized and armed figures to base my conversions on. In this process I came across my stash of 4th edition Imperial Halflings and Lumpin Croops halfling mercs...both of which are armed with bows. I've always had a fondness for these figures...and have collected a number of both types ...but have never felt the urge to paint them, mostly because they are HUGE for halflings. I much prefer the scale of the older smaller Marauder halflings and C-series citadel halflings. These guys tower over those and out weigh them by about 50lbs when you compare them. </p><p></p><p>...but maybe they would work as dwarfs!</p><p>A size comparison with marauder dwarfs show that they are of a size...and in some cases the halflings are actually larger! So the size works. </p><p> <table align="center" cellpadding="0" cellspacing="0" class="tr-caption-container" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><tbody><tr><td style="text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm0X3wqDt848rhCKFEjhGuR9mZwLskdGJMP_GzjpR_ssv90UTLuNEANPZ8-O-niMzKWv7AWU3Om3zeZ6cD2J80-4xbkUyMHtYvr-mBzidAyzCEKTsQJZd0esphIm6xKQPIjnO-EIzpZ18/s2560/IMG_1504.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: auto; margin-right: auto;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1211" data-original-width="2560" height="302" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhm0X3wqDt848rhCKFEjhGuR9mZwLskdGJMP_GzjpR_ssv90UTLuNEANPZ8-O-niMzKWv7AWU3Om3zeZ6cD2J80-4xbkUyMHtYvr-mBzidAyzCEKTsQJZd0esphIm6xKQPIjnO-EIzpZ18/w640-h302/IMG_1504.JPG" width="640" /></a></td></tr><tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;">Left to Right: Marauder Dwarf Thunderer (MM16), Lumpin Croops Halfling, Marauder Halfling (MM64), Lumpin Croops Halfling, Marauder Dwarf (MM10).<br /></td></tr></tbody></table><br /></p><p>Stylistically, their goofy bare faces and bare feet were the most obvious concerns. ...also apparently not one single halfling is capable of wearing a shirt sufficient to cover their entire bellies...maybe its a cultural blind spot? Anyway...what ever...its stupid. And it certainly doesn't work for dwarfs to look so inept...so I'll have to fill those in as well to keep my sanity intact.</p><p></p><p>To that end, starting with the Lumpin Croops ladz...I began adding beards and shoes to transform the Lumpin Croops Halflings into Bow armed Dwarf Rangers. </p><p>Here are pics of my first attempt.</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvqB9ZJCHjWUyZ4yV7YcK-DotN26FmdxNb2XxjRUF4dcr_oTTc3WGSG_kpcG8DU0khYP1HMR00I-aXaeO61yP5OEDBRAYEkO-fEQL0F09pLOEcJOLCyESnQa2QfZ2u_Um5kscmYM77DkU/s2048/IMG_8667.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1536" data-original-width="2048" height="480" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgvqB9ZJCHjWUyZ4yV7YcK-DotN26FmdxNb2XxjRUF4dcr_oTTc3WGSG_kpcG8DU0khYP1HMR00I-aXaeO61yP5OEDBRAYEkO-fEQL0F09pLOEcJOLCyESnQa2QfZ2u_Um5kscmYM77DkU/w640-h480/IMG_8667.JPG" width="640" /></a></div><p></p><p>Encouraged by the results, and not daunted by the many flaws I saw in this example, I persisted and worked through an entire unit of 15 rangers including command.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1fxeDIx9wiOsAIQrcddjojrDeR2aUAPo0fP4MmmEdmvN339ionhj6vJTFR0_mzl_QwvhvAhGJ2nGZlJf8eaYCoHH2sdqj7X2MBq5j3mXW5pNDZbqLXkDYUdsrE_EPqQMx2XtU0pqC-o/s1500/Command.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="969" data-original-width="1500" height="414" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi-1fxeDIx9wiOsAIQrcddjojrDeR2aUAPo0fP4MmmEdmvN339ionhj6vJTFR0_mzl_QwvhvAhGJ2nGZlJf8eaYCoHH2sdqj7X2MBq5j3mXW5pNDZbqLXkDYUdsrE_EPqQMx2XtU0pqC-o/w640-h414/Command.jpg" width="640" /></a></div><br /> Here are the converted trooper models shown with an unmodified version of each figure. <p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQt7Wg-sdx7V2QEAn2yYehiSRWnWBa_1TjIuC8IpvO5kqxjhSPiQpVC6M6Ba75cdpc8tuz21uFkqMuLzOdYc6BWEYDbt9UBCHVfJ_DIvmyW4sr-hvIEJ7PmW8RNQyuoMfHRIteAcHb9NE/s2048/AllConverts01.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="2048" data-original-width="1443" height="640" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjQt7Wg-sdx7V2QEAn2yYehiSRWnWBa_1TjIuC8IpvO5kqxjhSPiQpVC6M6Ba75cdpc8tuz21uFkqMuLzOdYc6BWEYDbt9UBCHVfJ_DIvmyW4sr-hvIEJ7PmW8RNQyuoMfHRIteAcHb9NE/w451-h640/AllConverts01.jpg" width="451" /></a></div><br /><p>When I shared these "greens" on fb as I worked on them...it was pointed out that the banner pole topper didn't really work with the dwarfs and that it should be replaced with something like a stag. My good friends over at the Scale Creep blog pulled together a quick Chaos Champion painting challenge...and we had only a week to complete our figures. Total of nine Creepers participated and produced some impressive works of art! </span></p><p><span style="font-family: georgia;">Click <a href="https://scalecreep.blogspot.com/2020/11/wishing-you-thankful-champsgiving.html?fbclid=IwAR1Sur1QA19y8cIDqiBLui17yaGptTyZ65obip0O429AtsGq1f_4WEO1iMo">HERE</a> to see the full post with all the amazing conversions and paint jobs.</span></p><p><span style="font-family: georgia;">I decided to use this opportunity to paint one of the Chaos Knights that have been languishing in my storage area for years now. And, after listening to my compatriots speak of the massive conversions they were undertaking for their champions, I decided I had to so something to kick my figure up a notch. So, in addition to picking a bad ass Chaos Steed for his mount, I also decided to add a bit of "flare" to the rider by giving him a couple of spare Kislev Winged Lancer wings that I had in my bitz box. </span></p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHjsEXTUXJHzEV1-FZPSGpzEcj4w8YgQOFC3R-VZ-7i67T6PVr9bqQbaC-2boWHx8yIPF_TNT3FdeY_N4CSeEs3y2s0Ti9UPoRGwO0ZFB_Vx5MyNOJHerp12VZjIXMesV0oGF1d2vkYGM/s1677/UpaintedKnight.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1677" data-original-width="1400" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEiHjsEXTUXJHzEV1-FZPSGpzEcj4w8YgQOFC3R-VZ-7i67T6PVr9bqQbaC-2boWHx8yIPF_TNT3FdeY_N4CSeEs3y2s0Ti9UPoRGwO0ZFB_Vx5MyNOJHerp12VZjIXMesV0oGF1d2vkYGM/w334-h400/UpaintedKnight.jpg" width="334"></a></div><p></p><p>This is somewhat of an homage to one of my favorite 3rd edition empire knight figures...the Mounted General who has a very similar set of wings.</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMsIJhDftxlSq0-j3ntH00mMRlVahwSE-GsBAytDj_zMiowIz20_wYQtfrrazaPpYKoLoQpC5V3EY5ZHir9imezpm9SFUE2Tzcy3d-KByD1ep0YuJP0BlY9HtsFuUkMOtJQDEnmNo7pJc/s315/Imperial+General.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="315" data-original-width="254" height="400" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEgMsIJhDftxlSq0-j3ntH00mMRlVahwSE-GsBAytDj_zMiowIz20_wYQtfrrazaPpYKoLoQpC5V3EY5ZHir9imezpm9SFUE2Tzcy3d-KByD1ep0YuJP0BlY9HtsFuUkMOtJQDEnmNo7pJc/w323-h400/Imperial+General.jpg" width="323"></a></div><br> <span style="font-family: georgia;">Anyway, this hardly counts as a "conversion", particularly when compared to the other Scale Creep entries (seriously...you gotta check them out! The end is in sight! I'm nearly complete with the long running Goblin Wolf Boy project that has been the theme of of Quarintime Painting.</p><p>Today I bring you the last of the big groups of Wolf boys...after this there will be 6-10 more random Citadel riders I will paint up in the future to round out some units...but this is the last big batch.</p><p>This time I'm presenting my take on the 4th edition wolf boys. These fantastic Colin Dixon sculpts were done for the Marauder range...when it was being re-incorporated back in to mainstream Citadel. These figures were one of the first to come with the new range of plastic mounts that citadel released with the new edition. These guys came with extremely large plastic wolves...I've never liked them and opted to find alternative mounts for my troopers.</p><p>I tried all the metal wolf options I could think of and none of them really fit properly as these goblins are a fair amount larger than their 3rd edition brothers...and the 3rd edition wolves seem quite small under these guys. Finally I settled on the old Wolf sculpts from the classic Goblin Battle Chariots. These wolves are quite a bit larger than the other wolves used for mounts and they fit very well with the 4th edition goblins. I took me quite awhile to track down 16 of these wolves...but with that goal accomplished I settled down to prepping the unit and started painting.</p><p>Here is the assembled unit...</p><p> <a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijVPk-EcMinFZ2w-BXoGUmO26u-x0bNYqTdXmTNIkjbnfgf8NaYCJpuuDRbXSisnAlryjyWUgwzB9sopR5BQitPRWVgH-K6HlxO8Ke9LuakD7vAM7X73UEORNwZ1Bi_GCi4US8eBNMPsM/s640/Photo+Mar+17%252C+8+22+10+AM.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="383" data-original-width="640" height="384" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEijVPk-EcMinFZ2w-BXoGUmO26u-x0bNYqTdXmTNIkjbnfgf8NaYCJpuuDRbXSisnAlryjyWUgwzB9sopR5BQitPRWVgH-K6HlxO8Ke9LuakD7vAM7X73UEORNwZ1Bi_GCi4US8eBNMPsM/w640-h384/Photo+Mar+17%252C+8+22+10+AM.jpg" width="640"></a></p><p></p><p>and here they are Painted!!! <span></span></p><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2020/11/4th-edition-marauder-goblin-wolf.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com12tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-36601889340176271082020-11-16T14:23:00.005-05:002020-11-16T14:23:45.050-05:00Citadel Goblin Stickas ...a new Unit is born<p> Hi all,</p><p>Today I have a few more excellent Kev Adams Goblin sculpts to share with you, and for once they have nothing to do with wolf riders!</p><p>...well..</p><p>...thats not exactly true. 😁 </p><p> These are actually all goblin infantry figures that I had determined could be "converted" to fit on wolves and join my mounted force...so I painted them along with all the citadel wolf boys I showed in the last post. But as the wolf rider project evolved, I found that I already had enough mounted archers and so, these guys would have to revert to their original function as infantry. In this case as a unit of Stickas. So I pulled had to drill holes in their feet to pin them to the bases because I had already removed their tabs to make them into cavalry...but it was worth the effort...some great figures in this group. Included the bearded Goblins!<br></p><p>First off some unit Pics...</p><p></p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu2SkgGqF48Ny03nqpi0_PJJixA9b0m_ivU7Ubyj3rk8GRvc0VkhXhqi3M1W64BeNfwXgSFvC5NBT1BBHDUxov7Hy4WTe9KdgzeVr05-fhOcf8cgdEK6NwYmnzLXzl9Ik48gvOYfCkO5E/s2000/Stikas+unit+02.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="1033" data-original-width="2000" height="330" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhu2SkgGqF48Ny03nqpi0_PJJixA9b0m_ivU7Ubyj3rk8GRvc0VkhXhqi3M1W64BeNfwXgSFvC5NBT1BBHDUxov7Hy4WTe9KdgzeVr05-fhOcf8cgdEK6NwYmnzLXzl9Ik48gvOYfCkO5E/w640-h330/Stikas+unit+02.jpg" width="640"></a></div><p></p><span></span><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2020/11/citadel-goblin-stickas-new-unit-is-born.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com8tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-5959328071381795992020-11-11T20:21:00.012-05:002020-11-11T20:21:58.416-05:00Citadel Wolf Riders ...Face Mace and the boyz...<p> Hi y'all,</p><p>Here is just a quick post to share with you the current state of the Citadel Wolf riders that I delved into immediately after the wrapping up the Marauder Wolf Boys.</p><p>I really love all of these figures and the amazing skills of Kev Adams are clearly on display in this unit..everyone of them is a pleasure to paint and is full of character. MM32/1<p>The last of the blister packs from the 3rd edition Marauder Wolf Boys range that I need to share with you is the two figure Command pack MM32/1. This pack contains the fantastic Major Hero on a cloth barded wolf with a back banner, as well as the mounted archer Hero who is one of my absolute favorite sculpts from this range.</p><p>Both these figures are fantastic...and it is obviously from the Hero's back banner with its Dagger and Heart symbol that I have taken to replicate for the shields on all the riders from this range. I feel like this pulls the whole force together in a cohesive manner despite the variety of sculpts contained in the range.</p><p>Here they are with the Catalog Drawings</p><div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;"><a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi11MTnqj-2JAvKOoqa167awf9oATr18dbm54DwBQrfZlCzZRav2PCydjlyJyGm4BX3-F2qpfnrW6AYqDtUPGRDLGf5O4ol1T0jKUkhEXD5HbTz-QjUEE5Kgm_FcMh68BfLn1ECRph60Fc/s1200/MM32_1+02+with+LD.jpg" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" data-original-height="976" data-original-width="1200" height="520" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEi11MTnqj-2JAvKOoqa167awf9oATr18dbm54DwBQrfZlCzZRav2PCydjlyJyGm4BX3-F2qpfnrW6AYqDtUPGRDLGf5O4ol1T0jKUkhEXD5HbTz-QjUEE5Kgm_FcMh68BfLn1ECRph60Fc/w640-h520/MM32_1+02+with+LD.jpg" width="640"></a></div><p></p><p><span></span></p><a href="http://bluesmarauders.blogspot.com/2020/10/marauder-goblin-wolf-boys-hero-pack.html#more">Read more »</a>Blue in VThttp://www.blogger.com/profile/16420605978612894112noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7366826811750659881.post-7665696488125475712020-10-05T21:18:00.007-04:002020-10-05T21:18:52.392-04:00Marauder Goblin Wolf Boys MM34/3 and MM34/4<p> Hi all,</p><p>Back with a couple more Blister Packs worth of wolf boys for you!
